[Apply] 2022 Sahara Impact Fund (SIF)/Governance Unusual Programme

The Sahara Foundation is presently accepting applications for the Sahara Impact Fund (SIF) and the Governance Unusual Program. This program seeks to inspire and support the production of ideas and solutions that will improve access to clean energy, promote sustainable ecosystems, and mobilize catalytic support for tangible collaborations towards attaining the Sustainable Development Goals in a way that results in demonstrable social impact.

The goal of the 2nd cohort of the Sahara Impact Fund (SIF) and the Governance Unusual Programme is to provide funding to social innovators so that these innovators may generate solutions that will expand access to renewable energy and promote sustainable surroundings. All of this aims to accelerate the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) with quantifiable social effect and a good governance paradigm change.

The fellows who participate in the Governance Unusual program will pay special attention to the ways in which individual responsibility may spark a paradigm change, which will ultimately result in the “whole” gravitating towards “doing the right thing” – unequivocally. This will be accomplished through the programme’s focus on how individual responsibility can inspire a paradigm shift. Sahara Foundation, Ford Foundation, LEAP Africa and the Impact Investors Foundation have formed a strategic alliance to leverage the capabilities of the many partners.
