Application for the Government of Kazakhstan Scholarships for International Students to study at Kazakhstan universities is presently ongoing now, the Ministry of education and science of the Republic of Kazakhstan calls for foreign applicants, including persons of Kazakh nationality who are not citizens of the Republic of Kazakhstan to full-time studying in Bachelor’s, Master’s, and Ph.D. educational programs.

Currently, Kazakhstan is the first and only country in Central Asia recognized as a full member of the European higher education area. Eligibility Criteria

For Bachelor’s Degree:

• Foreign citizen, including a person of Kazakh nationality who is not citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
• having a document confirming the completion of secondary education with an assessment of no less than “good”.

For Masters Degree:

• Foreign citizen, including a person of Kazakh nationality who is not citizen of the Republic of Kazakhstan:
• having diploma of bachelor or specialist with at least 3.0 (out of 4) GPA or its equivalent in educational institutions;
• having an international certificate confirming the knowledge of a foreign language

For PhD:

• Foreign citizen, Including a person of Kazakh nationality who is not citizen of the Republlc of Kazakhstan:
• having diploma of master with at least 3.0 (out of 4) GPA or its equivalent in educational institutions;
• having an international certificate confirming the knowledge of a foreign language.

Required Documents

For Undergraduates:
– passport;
– copy of document on previous level of education (with transcript);
– motivational essay in Kazakh or Russian or English languages;
– letter of recommendation in Kazakh or Russian or English from the educational organization in which the applicant studied, or from the employer;
– a medical certificate for study abroad, containing the conclusions of a therapist, narcologist, psychiatrist, as well as data from an X-ray (fluorographic) examination, laboratory tests, as well as a medical certificate confirming the absence of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV infection) and AlDS, issued by official health authority of the
applicant’s country of residence;
– application form;
– letter of invitation from the Kazakhstan university (if available).

For Masters:
– passport;
– copy of a document on previous level of education (with transcript); motivational essay in Kazakh or Russian or English languages;
– 2 letters of reommendation in Kazakh or Russian or English from the educational organization in which the applicant studied, or from the employer;
– a medical certificate for study abroad, containing the conclusions of a therapist, narcologist, psychiatrist, as well as data from an X-ray (fluorographic) examination, laboratory tests, as well
– as a medical certificate confirming the absence of the human immunodeficiency virus (HIV infection) and AIDS, issued by official health authority of the applicant’s country of residence; international certificate confirming the knowledge of a foreign language;
