[Apply Now] YoungEd Africa Fellowships 2023 for Young Africans

Empower education professionals to up-skill themselves with knowledge and skills for improved education delivery and preparedness for the future. Through the 9-Months YoungEd Africa Fellowship Programme, we provide scholarships, capacity building funding and community support, to foster professional development within various career tracks in the Education sector.

Programme Tracks

  • YoungEd Scholars: Become a qualified education professional that delivers the future.
    Eligibility
    – The YoungEd Scholar Programme is targeted at Africans
    – Applicants must be between the ages of 16-30,
    – Applicants must be studying or interested in studying education related courses at undergraduate or post graduate levels, in Africa.
  • Benefits
    – Financial and mentorship support is provided to facilitate their study or research towards attaining a qualification in any field of education.
    – Continued support is granted based on sustained performance as determined via our monitoring and evaluation efforts in collaboration with the YoungEd Scholar’s institution
  • YoungEd Professionals:
    The YoungEd Professionals Programme is targeted at Africans between the ages of 20-40, who work in the education sector and are interested in building a successful career in a specific field of education.
    The programme aims to foster capacity building, continuous learning and professional development by providing funding for participation in short courses, seminars, workshops, conferences.

    Benefits
    – YoungEd Funds are paid directly to host/facilitating organizations or disbursed via the YoungEd Virtual Wallet Platform to enable payments for online courses
    – No Cash amounts are awarded.

    Eligibility Criteria
    – An African residing in Africa;
    – Must be between 20 – 40 years of age;
    – Must have obtained a certificate or degree in any education related field.

Programm Benefits

  • Tuition fees for YoungEd Scholars are paid directly to their institution.
  • YoungEd Professionals get funds quarterly, via the YoungEd Virtual Wallets.
  • No cash disbursements are made to personal accounts.

Application Process

  • Candidate applies for the YoungEd Scholar or Professional Track.
  • YoungEd Africa Team reviews candidate’s application.
  • Successful candidates receive Selection letters for the next cohort.
  • Selected candidates provide verification documents to facilitate processing their Awards.
  • YoungEd Africa Team conducts final verification of selected candidates.
  • Award letters are sent to selected candidates who have been successfully verified.
