The future of retail is about to be radically altered, and Walmart Global Tech is the engine that will drive it. Program Details
The Walmart Data Scientist online training course lasts for 6 weeks and will teach you everything you need to know to do well in your new career. To participate in this course, all you need is access to the Internet and a computer, as it is delivered in a virtual live online format. The program incorporates professional development assistance, a Capstone Project for students to work on in groups, and the teaching of data skills through actual business situations. After completing the training, you will be equipped with the skills necessary to begin working as a data scientist at Walmart on a full-time basis.
There will be an entry assessment focusing on the above data science skills. Fellows will complete technical cases that challenge them to apply their skills to real-world business use cases, to help them become effective practitioners within Walmart’s Global Tech team.

Program Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must either already be located in or be willing to move to Bentonville, AR if hired.
- Applicants must be willing to take on a Full-Time Data Scientist position with Walmart beginning in early 2023
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree and at least two years of experience in analytics or a related subject (ideally in statistics, economics, analytics, mathematics, computer science, or IT).
- Masters degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology or related field.
- Applicants must have worked in analytics or a similar industry for a minimum of four years.
- All qualified individuals, including current Walmart employees, are encouraged to apply.
- Applicants must communicate clearly, work well with others in various settings, and have a firm grasp of fundamental data science techniques like machine learning, statistics, Python, and experimental design.
- Walmart’s Data Science Bootcamp is currently only open to individuals who reside and may legally work in the United States.

- Step 2: You will be required to complete a technical assessment that will test your current familiarity with concepts taught in our program
