The Scottish Government in collaboration with Scottish universities and colleges is calling on eligible applicants to apply for the Scotland Saltire 2022 Scholarships for International Students.
Scholarships from the Saltire Foundation in Scotland offer an exceptional chance to study in a country that is home to world-class universities and has a long history of academic distinction. Our scholars are persons who desire to be significant leaders in their future careers. Aside from their academics, they have a wide range of hobbies, which they hope to further upon in Scotland.

Available Courses
The course must be a postgraduate Masters level course in one of the following subject areas:
– Science
– Technology
– Creative industries
– Healthcare and medical sciences
– Renewable and clean energy
Scholarship Benefits
- The scheme offers up to 50 awards, each worth £8000, towards tuition fees for any one year of full-time study on a postgraduate Masters’s programme at any of Scotland’s higher education institutions.
- In addition to their studies, Saltire Scholars will be able to participate in a variety of extracurricular activities, including discussions with members of Scotland’s academic and business communities.
Eligibility Requirements
In order to be eligible for financial aid, you must:
- Be accepted into a Scottish institution and be enrolled in an appropriate programme that will be taught either in person in Scotland or via distance online learning.
- Be a citizen of one of the following countries: Canada, India, Japan, the United States, Pakistan, or China (Hong Kong citizens are also eligible as it is a Special Administrative Region of China).
- Prove that they can afford the remaining tuition and living expenses in Scotland, if applicable.
- Be a student who has never studied in Scotland before.
- No prior Saltire Scholarships received.
- The course’s linguistic requirements should be met.
- Submit an application form before the deadline of June 12, 2022.
Applicants need to show the following:
- A desire to attend a Scottish university or to study in Scotland in general.
- Work and study in an international setting, with the goal of becoming an international leader in their chosen field.
- A desire to engage in the scholarship program’s activities, as well as the essential interpersonal and communication abilities, are required.
